2. Fosters a culture of research and innovation within the college, encouraging faculty and students to engage in legal research and contribute to the field. 
3. Preside over academic council meetings, where key decisions regarding academic policies, curriculum, and research are made. 
4. The chairperson participates in Board of Studies meetings to ensure that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date. 
5. The chairperson is responsible for maintaining discipline among students, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise, and ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
