The College Library of Prayagraj College of Law is the center and heart of our academic institution. It is the treasure of knowledge, and students can have undefined knowledge gained from a variety of books available. Basically, our library has extensive collections of legal resources, including journals, textbooks, reports, and commentaries, aiming to support academic activities, research, and information and retrieval of students, faculty, and legal professionals.
A library is truly a mirror of the spirit of dedicated study and our library is the Best Library in Prayagraj. The library contains books, magazines, and periodicals arranged in sections and sub-sections. The staff and the students of the College may use the library. We have monthly subscriptions to leading law generals, both national and international for students to study in our library.
We have a comprehensive collection of legal textbooks, dictionaries, and reference material and even access to reports of court cases, those of the Supreme Court, High Court, and other relevant jurisdictions to gain knowledge and have practical ideas about cases in their outcomes. We have a dedicated space for research activities equipped with advanced tools and resources with wifi and high-speed Internet access for online research and information retrieval for the student's final year.
The following are some of the General Library rules formed for guidance and information.
General Information:

The library is open each working day and remains closed on Sundays and authorized holidays for staff and students only.

No books shall be taken out of the library without the knowledge of the Expert Librarians until it has been properly issued in the issuing Register and signed by the borrower.

Rules common to all borrowers:

The library books will be issued to the students on the day only allotted, if the same day is a holiday, then on the next working day after the issuing hour, books will be issued.

Each borrower must examine the condition of the books before they are issued to him/her and let us know of any defect in the books.

Otherwise, in case mutilation is found later, the presumption will go against him/her.

Books should be kept for a specific period allowed to a borrower and returned to the library if it is requisitioned from the librarian.

Anybody in possession of a library book shall return it whenever he/she receives a requisition notice for the return from the Librarian and must be returned to the Librarian or in charge and to nobody else.

No borrowers are allowed to make marginal notes in library books.

If any borrower loses, seriously damages, or defaces a book, he/she must replace it with a similar book.

No students are allowed to remove any picture or page or tear or otherwise disfigure it, in such cases the borrower may be penalized.

If any borrower keeps a library book for more than the stipulated period, no further books will be issued to him/her until the concerned book is returned to the library.

The library premises should not be used for any purpose other than reading or consulting the periodicals of the library.

Spitting and sleeping inside the library are strictly prohibited.

Books of rare copy, reserved copy, dictionaries, courses of studies, council and university questions, and current issues periodicals are not issued for use at home without the permission of the principal.

Rare books may be issued to students, if possible, for use in the Reading room only for a very short time on the production of their identity cards.

Every book added to the library, whether by purchase or otherwise by any other source, shall be enlisted in a catalog under its proper head by the Librarian

Every book in the library bears a seal and a number. Only the books that are stamped and numbered can be issued to the borrowers.

Towards the close of each academic year all the books are made to be physical and stock verified, so that the library may be compared with the catalogs. The borrowers should return books before the College closes for the Summer Vacation.
